Isn't it a pity got those Intercity blues

My eyes are feeling gritty

With the dust I've kicked up with my shoes

So here's my little ditty

About my intercity blues

Sat here at the station, waiting for my train

Getting hot but that's not what's messing with my brain

Thinking bout the way that things keep coming round again

Hoping for something new

Some say meditation can get you through the night

Don't know why but when I try I just can't get it right

Some say after darkness you're bound to get some light

Hoping its true

Isn't it a pity got those Intercity blues

My body's feeling shitty and mind mind is wandering too

A not so pretty ditty about my intercity blues

Maybe in an hour or so I'll be on that train

Give what you've got but like as not it'll all come round again

Get you needle stuck in that endless old refrain

Circles spin around

Maybe I should shake myself get a bite to eat

Got a hunch some naked lunch would get me to my feet

Give the incentive to get up and meet and greet

At the lost and found

So Isn't it a pity that I got those Intercity blues

Maybe I'd feel better if I went out and put on my blue suede shoes

So please don't pity me one bitty I'll get through my intercity blues
